Design Board: A Red and Blue Beachy Living Room

Do you read Pewter and Sage? Well, you should - awesome blog. Anyhoo, Sarah hosts a mood board linky party that I always want to join and never get my arse in gear quick enough to do so. But not so this month! Here is my take on this month's inspiration: a red and blue beachy living room...
The inspiration came from these two fabrics from John Robshaw Textiles:

I'd use both as throw pillows and the darker one as drapes as well. I've been itching to design a beach house, so this was a great excuse!

  1. I love it Lizzie! I could live in that room. I'm a sucker for white couches and love the pops of navy and red.

  2. I love navy - it looks great with almost every color. I love the stacked suitcases. You did a beautiful job! I haven't been over to see Sarah in a while. Adding that to my to do list. It's so good to "see" you too, Lizzie! Hope all is well! Have a great week!

  3. Perfect choice of fabrics for a beach house and the pop of red adds a nod of nautical. Sophisticated, yet fun and not too themed, LOVE!

  5. Yay, Lizzie!!! I'm so glad you made it to the party!! Thanks so much for really pushing to "get your arse in gear" this time, lol:) Love your beachy living room. Too funny that we both chose the blue JR fabrics and brought in a pop of a warm red tone. This palette is so striking! I am loving that industrial rolling shelf and the PB chest used as a coffee table...of course I pick the two no longer available things;) I love the color and pattern of the geometric rug, it would make all that blue and white stuff just pop. I love the feel of this room...you were able to achieve the kind of living/sitting space that I wanted to but wasn't getting, that's why I switched rooms. Way to go!! Thanks again for taking the time to play:)
