At first, I was thinking textured white bedding was the way to go for our master. There's just something about climbing into crisp, white sheets that makes me happy.

The more I think about it though, the more I'm thinking a print might be the way to go. We don't have drapes, so there's really nowhere else to bring pattern into the room. (Right now, there are just black out blinds. Adding drapes is a consideration, but it's not easy to drill into concrete and they'd have to be huuuge - not a cheap endeavor.) So, bearing in mind that this is what it used to look like...
...the walls are this color now...
...and these lamps...
...these are some of the options I've come up with:
{Gorgeous but expensive} DKNY Weekend Tee Duvet (at Bed, Bath & Beyond)

{Fun colors but honestly I don't love the Ikat print} West Elm Island Ikat Duvet

{Not a print but the texture adds interest, and there are other colors available} West Elm Organic Pin Tuck Duvet

{Love this but it's no longer available} West Elm Duvet
{Like the bird print and red accents} Daintree Duvet (at Bed, Bath & Beyond)
{White and patterned} Canopy Duvet (at Bed, Bath & Beyond)

{Simple and sophisticated - could jazz it up with colorful pillows} Medallion Taupe Duvet (on Overstock.com)

{Maybe too modern?} English Garden Duvet Set (on Overstock.com)
{Subtly fun} Light Leopard Flannel Duvet by Ballard Designs
{Bright and fun but maybe too busy?} Amy Butler Sari Bloom Duvet (at Bed, Bath & Beyond)
{Colorful and unexpected but might clash with the lamps} Echo Design Jaipur Duvet (at Bed, Bath and Beyond)
So what do you think? Do you have a favorite? Any you hate? Any alternative suggestions? I'd love to hear from you - leave a comment and let me know what you think!

West Elm Pin-Tuck in that gorgeous steel blue color shown. I love it! Pattern could always come in on the sheets- West Elm had fabulous striped sheets the coordinated, but I believe they clearanced them. White sheets are always nice, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan - now that's a thought - I like the idea of patterned sheets. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree - Love the West Elm Pin-Tuck, also strangely fond of the Medallion Taupe Duvet too :)
